This looks like it could be a fun event that could bring out the creative side in your family.

Individuals and groups are challenged to build a boat made only of cardboard and duct tape!  Saturday, February 28 • 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (will go longer if needed) at the Urbandale Indoor Pool. The event is Free and No registration required.

Details: Bring your own boat, made out of cardboard and duct tape only – no markers or paint to be used, with paddles to the pool for our B.Y.O.B. Race! Great project for clubs, Boy and Girl Scouts, youth groups, families and individuals. The race will be one lap (down and back- 60 yards). Races will go in heats, beginning with the youngest age group.  Awards will be given for each category in speed and creativity.

Categories are the following age groups for both individuals and groups (3 or more in the boat):

• 8 years and younger
• 9-11 years
• 12 -15 years
• 16-18 years
• Adults
