At Home: Fall Decorating with Toddlers

At Home: Fall Decorating with Toddlers
Disclosure: This blog was created in partnership with At Home, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Decorating for every season and holiday is one of my favorite things to do and it can quickly add up. Thankfully, At Home offers affordable decor items for every season including fall.

If you haven’t made your monthly trip to the At Home store, grab your coffee and spend a little “me” time picking out some fun fall decor.

The store is full of different options including indoor and outdoor. Having toddlers at home, I have quickly learned that the pretty glass items do not last. Although, if you have somewhere up high to display them make sure you grab one of these beautiful pieces!

Having toddlers, you want to make sure you grab sturdy or plush items to be safe. That way, you are not stressing constantly when your cute three old begins running around the house with it 🙂

You do not need to buy much to get the fall “feel” in your home. At Home offers rugs, pillows, table and wall decor and much more. Try and find one great piece that screams fall and make that your eye catcher. Then add small, fun additions to complement it.

Take a look at the items I picked up at the At Home store:

Plush, weighted pumpkins. These are perfect to place on the side table. It adds a fun splash of fall orange to the room.

Pillows! You can never go wrong with pillows and the At Home store always has tons to choose from. Grab a few of your favorites that include fall sayings and/or colors. These are perfect and safe for the little kids as they climb all over your furniture.

My big fall piece include a three stacked, metal pumpkin centerpiece. It was my most expensive piece, only $40! I placed it in the middle of our dining room, so it draws everyone’s attention as they enter the room.

This cute little sign. This was a last minute purchase. Who doesn’t love “pumpkin spice everything”? I put it near our coffee maker, for a splash of fall in the kitchen.

Lastly, I believe scent really rounds out the feel for a room and/or house. A good pumpkin candle can really make you feel that fall has arrived. My children do okay around candles, but if you do not feel comfortable with them around toddlers there are other options. At Home store also sells room sprays and wax melts.

It is very affordable and easy to decorate for the season. Not only do your items bring fall to life in your home, they serve as fun items for your toddlers.

Happy Fall, Happy Shopping!
