Faith is very important in our family and when I was introduced to Sparkhouse Family Books I was so happy to find something that I could begin using with my young kiddos, to teach them about faith and Jesus.
The Sparkhouse Family Books are created for your younger kiddos in mind. They offer books, activity books, devotional books and more for ages 0 years up to age 12 years. Not only are the books, geared towards your children, the entire family can participate in the discussions and activities together.
Growing up I attended religious education every week and the activity books remind me a lot of our books in class! I absolutely love all the colors and simple reading. The stories are short, which allow us to be able to read the entire thing while we have the children’s attentions and they can somewhat understand.
The discussion questions throughout the books allow us to talk about what we have read and implement it into our everyday lives. The activity books or play and learn books are available in fun themes including: The Life of Jesus, Old Testament Adventures, and The First Christmas. I highly recommend ordering The First Christmas! Such a great way to get the kids involved with learning about the nativity story through puzzles, mazes, questions, and more!
As adults we know what devotional books are and how important they can be to help teach us about our faith. I love that Sparkhouse Family offers a Devotions for Kids book! This is the perfect way to introduce some of the most loved and popular Bible stories. Pick a story to read every night before bed and prayers.
If your children love to watch fun videos, Sparkhouse Family offers some great DVD’s. They also offer episodes of Whirl: Ada & Friends. These shows are available directly on their website. Going on a long car ride? Grab your iPad and have your child watch a few fun, animated shows about some friends who help each other navigate real-life problems using biblical values. Check out this cute preview video for Halloween!
